​Lambda Tau Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International is pleased to offer a scholarship in the
amount of $900 to a senior woman from either Katy High School, Cinco Ranch High School or Tompkins
High School. The scholarship is also open to students who attend Miller Career and Technology Center
from these three high school attendance zones.
Applicants should:
*Be a female student interested in pursuing a career in teaching
*Be a graduating senior from a Katy ISD school or a Katy ISD graduate currently enrolled
in college
*Have at least a “B” average
*​ Plan to enter junior college, college, or a university in the summer or fall semester of the
current year or be currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing a teaching

The Hope Scholarship

Project Joy and Hope proudly continues its mission to provide college scholarships to senior students throughout our state who value education, believe in service to others, and have worked hard to overcome obstacles as they complete their high school careers. Since 2001, PJH has provided scholarships totaling nearly $700,000 to area high school seniors.

Eligibility: To be eligible for a 2018 HOPE SCHOLARSHIP, student must have experienced the death of a parent or a sibling. We cannot consider other extended family members, such as grandparents or step-parents. Each eligible applicant must complete the enclosed packet.

​5/31/2018​Divorce Matters Scholarship


This scholarship is available to high school seniors and current college students nationwide who have been personally affected by a divorce. At our law firm, we know life gets complicated and that divorce is sometimes necessary. Our goal is to help students affected by divorce afford a better education.

Award & Deadlines: The scholarship is one-time award of $2.500. All applications must be received by 11:59 pm on May 31, 2018. A winner will be announced In July 2018. Funds will be send directly to the college you will be attending. Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted.

Eligibility: You are a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States, You have personally been affected by a divorce, You will be attending an accredited 4-year college/university or a 2-year community college for Fall 2018, A current transcript MUST be submitted for consideration, You must submit a 500-word essay explaining answering the following question: How has divorce touched your life? In what ways did it shape you into the person you are today?, Employees of Divorce Matters and their direct family members are not eligible to apply, *Although not required, applicants are encouraged to submit recommendation letters and/or resumes to substantiate their application for consideration.​

Zen Admissions
We are offering a $500 award to offset the cost of higher education for one U.S. high school student. We would love to share this scholarship opportunity with your students. Winner Announcement: September 15, 2018
Eligibility - Must be a high school student enrolled in grades 9 ? 12 in the upcoming 2018-19 school year. - Must be a U.S. resident. - Must be 13 years of age or older. Requirements - Applicants must write an original essay up to 300 words in length in response to the following prompt: ?Describe your ideal day of zen. What would you do? Where would you go, and who would you go with? Why does this day feel 'zen' to you?? - Applicants must apply through the online application form available on our website.

Varsity Tutors



Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students must write an essay in response to a monthly prompt.

Visitors to the Varsity Tutors Scholarship webpage are able to vote via social media for submitted entries.​

The top 5 entries with the most votes are reviewed by Varsity Tutors at the end of the month and one winner is subsequently chosen to receive the $1,000 college scholarship.

Texas Armed Services Scholars Program



Enrolled in an eligible Texas institution and an eligible ROTC program, committed in writing to remain in ROTC for four years, graduate in five years, enter Guard service or accept a commission with the armed service within six months of graduation from college, meet program physical fitness requirements, GPA 3.0 or higher, top third of class, SAT score of 1590 or ACT score of 23

Must be incoming freshman, combined critical Reading and Math SAT of 1400 or better or an ACT of 32 or above.  Top 15 % of class are automatically awarded the scholarship.
