I graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, a minor in speech communications, and a secondary certification. I earned my Master of Science degree in Educational Management with principal certification from the University of Houston Clear Lake.
I began my teaching career at Katy High School in 1998 where I taught English II & III. I was also an assistant swim coach for the Katy Aqua Tigers. After a break from teaching to be a stay-at-home mom for my two kids, I returned to the classroom at Miller Career & Technology Center. I am starting my 8th year at MCTC. I am currently teaching AP Literature and am the PACE coordinator.
I have lived in Katy for over 40 years. I am a product of KISD schools, and I take great pride in this wonderful "little" town. It has become more excellent though the years.
I am a value-oriented person, and I believe that kindness and hard work are the keys to success.
