 STAAR Information

This is where you can get your child's scores from last year and specific ideas on how to work on areas of weakness.  It is a tremendous resource and Mrs. Glasser plans to have a parent meeting about it in October.

You can look up your child's access code in HAC.

Conference/Planning Period

9:05 -9:55

Tuesday Folders go home each Tuesday with graded papers, forms, permission slips,  and other important information. Please return the folder and any signed documents on Wednesday.

Birthday Treats

Katy ISD has updated their student handbook regarding birthday or other celebratory functions and now states: “All treats must be store-bought with a label indicating the ingredients of the item.” As always, no other birthday items (party favors, balloons, etc.) are allowed to be brought to class.. Birthday treats are allowed to be shared with the class during recess only.  These can include but not limited to: cupcakes, cookies, donuts, popsicles, cake balls, Rice Krispie treats, etc.

If your child needs to change their mode of transportation, the parent is required to send in a hand written note to the teacher including the student's name, teacher's name, date, and transportation they will be changing to. Emails will not be accepted. If it is a last minute change, the note and your driver's license need to be faxed to the front office.

Please send healthy, dry snacks and water only!  Note that students must be able to open their snack and eat it without using utensils.  Items should fit in a sandwich size baggie or smaller.

Water bottles should be sports top or spill proof.

Students will get homework on Mondays and it will be due on Friday.  Students may complete it all on one day or may spread it throughout the week.

A Typical Week will consist of:
20 minutes reading nightly
A math assignment
A reading passage with questions
A writing assignment
20-30 minutes per week on Dream Box (accessed through MyKaty Cloud)
