Welcome, students and parents!  In Veterinary Sciences, students will have the opportunity to learn skills required to work in a veterinary clinic, be knowledgeable about their own pets, and prepare them for a future in the animal sciences.  My goal is to give students the opportunity to determine if a career in Veterinary Science is right for them through hands on experiences and theory.

Vet Assisting:  Periods 2-3 & 6-7     Canvas Page

Veterinary Medical Applications: Periods: 4-5     Canvas Page

I graduated from Stephen F. Austin in 2004 with a Bachelors in Agriculture.  I then went onto Texas Tech where I graduated with a Masters in Animal Science.  I worked in a genetics laboratory when I first graduated but soon realized I had a passion for teaching agriculture.

I started teaching in Boerne ISD where I taught a variety of agriculture classes.  I then moved to Clear Creek ISD where I taught the veterinary science and animal science classes as well as trained the Vet Science team for 8 ½ years.  I am so excited to be able to teach Veterinary Science in Katy ISD!

I have always loved learning about animals and enjoy passing the knowledge on to students through hands on activities.  At home I have dogs, rabbits and cattle that give me a lot of stories and personal experiences to share. One of my favorite things about teaching Veterinary Science is when the students apply what they are learning to their animals at home!  My door is always open.  Please feel free to call or email any time!
