New Student Registration
For information about registration, click here to view information about enrolling a student. This site lists all necessary documents, provides applicable forms, and has a link to check attendance zones. Here you can also find the KATY ONLINE REGISTRATION links which can be filled out before coming in to enroll your student. After completing ONLINE REGISTRATION you must present the following documents to the school so that your registration is effective:
* Proof of residence (IMPORTANT – PLEASE SEE BELOW– Proof of Residency)
* Official birth certificate or U.S. Passport
* Proof of immunizations (see below)
* Transcript from the school most recently attended showing all high school credit earned
* Withdrawal sheet from the school most recently attended
* Parent ID
Proof of Residence:
At the time of registration, parents should bring proof of residence: a recent utility bill (gas, water, electric) or a house or apartment lease agreement, showing the parent/guardian's name and address from the last thirty days.

International students MUST present School Records, already translated to English.
Bringing course descriptions, website information of former schools, and course catalogs are most helpful. Sometimes transcripts list simply "Math" or "Science" or "Social Studies". We will need to determine what specific skills they were learning, for math –Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, etc.; science – Biology, Physics, Chemistry, etc.; Social Studies – World History, World Geography, and Economics. We want to be as fair and thorough as possible when determining credits.
If Registrars or Counselors cannot determine what the class is by title, the student will have to take a placement test to determine the credit transcribed.
Please notify the Registrars as soon as you know your student is leaving MCHS. Complete and print the "Leaver Form" found in the document section to the right. Only a parent or guardian listed in our records is allowed to withdraw a student. Please have a driver's license when you come to withdraw your student, a copy must be made. Two days lead time is requested to complete withdrawal processing. All Library Books, Text Books and School property must be returned before withdrawal.
Graduated between 2004 and Present:
If you are a Current Student or a Graduated student, who graduated between 2004 and Present, open the Electronic Transcript Request. These Transcripts can be sent to Colleges, Universities or to an address you provide.
Graduated before 2004:
If you are a Graduated student, who graduated before 2004, please complete the Transcript Request From and e-mail to a Registrar. Please provide specific address on the form where the Transcript is to be sent.
PLAN AHEAD: Allow 2 weeks for processing transcripts, especially in the fall. MCHS cannot be held responsible for date mail is postmarked.
For out of state Universities, Colleges, and scholarship applications students MUST provide the $2 processing fee BEFORE a transcript will be printed.
For most Texas Universities, Colleges and other public institutions the transcripts will be transmitted electronically. There is still a $2 processing fee. The registrars will notify you if the transcript cannot be sent electronically.

A $2.00 fee will be collected for each paper transcript, whether requested as a personal
copy or to be mailed.
